Moving to Rincon Progress Meter

On the sidebar of this site, you may have noticed a little green vine crawling up the side. Well, we have added a new feature: the Moving to Rincon Progress Meter. It is a scale from one to 100 that will track our progress to our goal of living in Rincon, Puerto Rico. Mostly it measures the amount we estimated that we need to save in order to move there and be able to do some major upgrades to the property, but it also covers some things like ongoing income sources as well.

At this point in time you will notice we are at approximately a 35 on the scale or 35% of the way there. We estimate an increase of more or less about 5% per month on this meter. We thought this might be a fun way for those of you out in Internet-land to watch the progress we are making as we close the gap to moving and living in Rincon. We will be down visiting Rincon in just a few short weeks, so watch the blog soon for updates straight from there.

    Thanks!

For the time being traveling between Colorado and Rincon is a lot of fun. Life is about the journey! We are all in different stages of that journey and can help each other along the way.

    Hi
Love your vine; a great idea and nice tracking device.

We should have a palm tree meter for our move back to Santa Barbara!
We are about 35% too; have our”root” condo, purchased, all furnished, lap top in place; etc all the comforts of home on the golf course and beach lapping nearby. Now have to divest UT and bring the equity here. Still would like to build a home here too, then rent the condo. Sounds sorta familar?

Been having fun with friends and family; sorry we missed your Christmas call. Son Dave bought a home in Long Beach and we are helping him move this week.

Happy Chinese New Year of the Metal Dragon! We are going to a Chinese New Year Party at the SB Museum of Art (they have an emphasis on Chinese Art). It’s supposed to be a good but hectic year. I thought 2011 was pretty hectic!
