Caving with Katrina, Jeff and friends

We arrived late Saturday night/ Sunday morning in Aguadilla and drove to Katrina and Jeff’s house in San German arriving around 2:30 in the morning because of a small delay. They had said they were planning a cave that next day and we were welcome to stay at their house or go with them. We said we’d go as long as they weren’t leaving too early. We had a great day out hiking through the jungle of someone’s property and then exploring a couple of parts to a cave. I am not sure what they call this cave, but it was just the right cave for both of us who are novice cavers. Here are a few pictures!

We saw lots of crazy, creepy things in the caves like neat formations and lots of bugs, bats, rats, and toads. Definitely not a good place to bring the easily scared. 🙂 We were good with everything except the bats flying by our heads almost hitting us! Check out how many there were!

Cassie, judging by your big smile, caving must be in your genetic makeup. Your dad loved the caves near Rifle, Colorado and was agile in them. I think you and Justin went in them once while I attended in complete shock and horror (kind of clautrophobic)!

    That frog was amazing, btw.:)

I agree with Annie, Jack loved caving as did I! I wish that i could be with you…I think I fell in love with Puerto Rico several years ago and hope I can visit soon!!! I love you, Mom ( so many bats, that must be scary)

@spider: Thanks for the correction! We were just going off what we were told. So much to learn 🙂

@ Annie: I got a chance to go caving in Meeker with the family once. It was fun. I heard that even Schnoodle got a chance to go once upon a time!

@Mom (Char): We can’t wait to have you come to Puerto Rico too!

@BAK: We have yet to see any snakes, but if we do hopefully we get a picture of it. I think there are maybe a few snake holes down lower on the property. Maybe a Boa? Who knows…lol.
