Don’t go outside. Cold Colorado.
Wednesday, December 9th, 2009We had a cold front move in and dump a little snow this last weekend. I dont mind the snow so much but the minus 22 degrees is a bit ridiculous. The house seems colder, the furnace runs more and we wrap up with blankets by the fireplace.
We have a widget on the sidebar that some of you may have noticed. I grabbed a screenshot of what it looked like this morning.
I think I am ready to not experience the ‘bitter cold’ (that is what our forecast said) every year. Instead in PR I’d do some fishing in the ocean and ride my bike in January while wearing sandals.
The chickens are doing good, but they sure don’t want to move very much! The greenhouse should get up to 30-40 degrees today so that will be good for them.
Also as an update we got the house rented. A nice younger guy (20s) that came to live here from Kansas. I am going to put some rain gutters up on the house when it warms up but otherwise I think we’re done with the remodel/project.
