Due to the land being broken off and bought by someone else or govt giving land out or whatever. My Mother in Law doesnt have any title for her house either. She tried for about 10 years to get the papers and never could. (I dont think she really tried too much though) But I know its a pain. And just be glad you didn't get stuck in the middle of it. I dont think she is doing anything wrong either, thats just the way it is.. I once bought a car with a lien, but I knew ahead that I wasnt getting the title and I got it super cheap so I didnt mind, but I wouldnt pay alot for it becuase I knew it wasnt rightfully mine. Obviously if you had the cash and bought the property outright you would be stuck without proper title to the property. In some cases be glad the bank was involved (darn corporations, lol). These people buying it now may be just as naive about the process of purchasing land there, and if paying cash may get stuck with a bogus deal. I would same shame on Alwilda if she is being dishonest with these new people and isn't acquiring the appropriate titles she needs before selling. I could understand if she didn't know with you guys, but to do it a second time is unacceptable. Oh well. Its not a big deal. Just move on and continue forward with your goals.
